Walking out in Faith

Perhaps today or in recent days you have been hearing a specific message word from God that is speaking directly to where you are in life right now. Maybe you are not certain what to do or go with it.
Sure, many of us have been or are in such a place.

An opportunity to step into or exercise our faith awaits.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
(Romans 10:17)
God, of His own will brought us forth by the word of truth that we might be the kind of firstfruits of His creatures. (James 1:18)
It is through His Word He brings us into our very best through Him. Firstfruits were the very best of the crop brought forward as an offering in the Old Testament in thanks to God for His provision. So we want to be our very best for God, right? The desire to take a step towards that is more than likely present; in our giftings, talents and abilities as well as financially.

And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. (2 Peter 1:19)
The Word coming to us is sure and confirmation and follows if we are attentive and listening for what God is saying. Then taking steps in faith trusting God for what He is saying can follow.

Light will always shine into the dark places of our life. Light dispels the darkness though the darkness itself comprehends not. We cannot see when hemmed in by darkness. We must allow the light of God’s Word to pierce through the pockets of darkness in our lives and penetrate that which that may be keeping us stuck in certain areas of our lives. Until the dawning of clarity comes one must persevere.

Do not give up! They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and shall mount up with wings as eagles. (Isaiah 40:31)
It may feel as though or seem like nothing is happening or moving.
Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me tread on my high places. (Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Where is your level of joy at right now? The absence of that joy may well indicate a darkness problem. Are you weighted down or are you leaping like the deer?

I will take my stand at my watchpost
and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me,
and what I will answer concerning my complaint. (Habakkuk 2:1)

Bring your complaint before the Lord. He is ready to listen.

And the Lord answered me:
“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
“Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith. ( Habakkuk 2:2-4)

Get clear on what God is saying. Can you try writing that out? Can you communicate it into words? God’s timing may be different than what we may have in mind. Yet it follows through from beginning to end as Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last, alive forevermore, (Revelation 22:13)

The just shall live by his faith and…faith without action following is dead.

Walk wisely redeeming the time because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16). We are meant to be moving, advancing forward.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

How much are we allowing for this process in our lives?
